In addition to her research, writing, and teaching, Dr. West and her husband have a cat, Swizzle Hulagir Hancock West-Salyer. He is a genius.

NOTE: Swizzle died last year but I keep this page up for all of his many (MANY) fans…. former students (graduate and undergraduate) who loved him and who enjoyed his ability to de-stress even the most stressed out human. He was love and light and joy.
