Dr. West is the founder of the journal Environment and Society: Advances in Research, a peer review journal intended to provide critical and timely reviews of the most current social research on environmental issues to a wide audience. She edited the journal with Dr. Dan Brockington for a decade and in 2019 will hand over the editorship to Dr. Amelia Moore and Dr. Jerry K. Jacka.
